Compatibility with the garment
The selected trim should also be compatible with the garment fabric, construction, weight, washing method, intended use, and production process. For example, a zipper suitable for a lightweight top may not be appropriate for a heavy sweatshirt or jacket.
Supplier minimums and lead time
Some custom trims may have their own supplier MOQ and lead time. A garment order of 1,000 pieces does not automatically mean that a trim supplier can produce only 1,000 custom zippers, buttons, patches, or other specially developed components.
Custom development costs
Custom logos, colors, molds, shapes, plating, or materials may also involve:

Options when a trim MOQ exceeds the garment quantity
If a custom-trim MOQ is higher than the garment quantity, MinCharm can review available options with the buyer. Depending on the project, these may include selecting an available standard trim, adjusting the specification, using a suitable alternative, or purchasing the supplier’s required minimum quantity.
Confirm before bulk production
Trim samples or approval references should be confirmed before bulk production. The approved size, material, color, finish, logo, placement, and functional requirements then become part of the production and quality-control specifications.
