What a sleepwear tech pack review checks

A women’s sleepwear tech pack review checks whether the specifications required for sample development are clear, consistent, and practical for production. MinCharm reviews the available design drawings, measurement chart and tolerances, garment construction, fabric and trim specifications, artwork, branding, finishing details, and packaging requirements.

The purpose is to identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information before the sample is made—not to approve the sample or bulk production in advance.

Key areas reviewed before sampling

Design and measurements

  • Front, back, and detail drawings or other available design references
  • Measurement points, values, tolerances, size range, and grading information
  • Top-and-bottom proportions for pajama sets
  • Missing dimensions or inconsistent measurements

Construction and sleepwear fit

  • Garment silhouette, ease, and intended fit
  • Necklines, sleeve shapes, rise, inseam, and overall proportions
  • Seam, stitching, opening, closure, and waistband requirements
  • Construction details that require clarification before development

Fabrics, trims, and artwork

  • Fabric composition, weight or GSM, hand feel, stretch, and opacity
  • Color, print, and artwork size or placement requirements
  • Piping, lace, buttons, elastic, drawcords, closures, and other trims
  • Material or trim details that need sourcing confirmation

Branding and finishing

  • Logo application and branding placement
  • Main labels, size labels, care labels, and hangtags
  • Finishing and presentation details
  • Folding, packaging, and applicable packing instructions

How unclear specifications are handled

1

Review

MinCharm checks the available technical information and compares related specifications for consistency.

2

Clarify

Questions about missing measurements, conflicting instructions, artwork, materials, trims, or construction are raised for buyer confirmation.

3

Confirm

Once the necessary decisions are confirmed, the reviewed specifications can be used as the technical basis for sample development.

Tech pack review is not sample approval

Completing the review means the available requirements are sufficiently clear to proceed with the agreed development steps. The garment sample must still be produced, evaluated, revised where necessary, and approved separately before bulk production.
