The Hoodie That Lives by the Door
Every brand has one: the hoodie customers reach for without thinking — over gym clothes, under a coat, on the slow Sunday walk. It never gets there by accident. This one is built for exactly that job: a heavyweight knit with real weight in the hand, a soft brushed inner that feels broken-in from the first wear, and a relaxed, boxy cut that doesn’t cling or sag. The sample comes in a charcoal shade with metal eyelets and tipped drawcords — plain at first glance, better on the third wear.
Built Like the Ones People Keep
The cut is a relaxed body with dropped shoulders and long sleeves, a deep kangaroo pocket set low enough to actually use, and ribbed cuffs and hem wide enough to hold their shape over years of pulling on and off. The hood threads through metal eyelets with metal-tipped cords that knot cleanly and stay tied. Nothing on this hoodie is decorative — every piece on it has a job.

The Brushed Inside Is a Process, Not a Coating
Brushing passes. That soft inner face comes from raising the knit with brushing rollers. More passes feel softer but fuzz faster; fewer passes last longer but feel stiffer. We tune the number of passes on the sample and check the hand again after washing — then lock it for bulk.
Heavy knits relax. A heavyweight body can grow or shrink in the first washes if the fabric isn’t settled. The sample gets washed and measured before bulk cutting so the size you approved is the size that arrives.
Boxy proportions travel badly. On a relaxed, dropped-shoulder fit, grading isn’t just adding width and length evenly — keep the ratio wrong and large sizes turn into tents. The boxy proportion gets checked across the size run, not just on the middle size.
Pocket stress points. Hands go in and out of a kangaroo pocket thousands of times, and on heavy fabric the corners take the strain. Bartacks at the pocket openings are part of the construction, not an upgrade.
Fabric Directions We’d Develop First
The sample reads as a thick, dense knit with a brushed inner face — the kind of fabric that holds its shape on a hanger. Composition and weight aren’t fixed; this is a custom-fabric OEM program. Directions we’d typically develop for this cut: a 350–420 gsm brushed fleece for a proper winter weight, or a 300–350 gsm brushed loopback for a piece that works across seasons. Fiber content, GSM targets and finishing options (enzyme wash, anti-pilling treatment) are agreed in your tech pack, and bulk fabric is matched against the approved sample — not a photo.
Fit and Sizing
What the photos show: a relaxed, boxy body with dropped shoulders and a hem that sits straight — room to layer underneath without swallowing the wearer. Your size range and grading follow your tech pack. One note worth raising at the start: on boxy cuts, sleeve opening and body width need deciding together, or the sleeve reads slim on a wide body. Send your size chart with the enquiry and the balance gets checked on the sample.

Questions Buyers Ask About This Hoodie
Will the body grow or shrink after washing?
Heavyweight knits move if the fabric isn’t settled before cutting. The sample is washed and measured against its original spec before bulk production, so the relaxation happens on our table, not in your customer’s machine.
How do you keep the brushed inside from pilling?
Brushing intensity and yarn quality decide it. We set the brushing passes on the approved sample, and an anti-pilling finish is available as a development option if your price point and fabric direction call for it.
Can we get this in our own colors?
Yes — colors are developed per your tech pack and dyed to lab dips you approve before bulk. The charcoal on the sample is a reference point, not a fixed stock color.
