Yes — we can develop from a physical garment, reference images, or both.
The amount of technical information available, and the details that still need to be confirmed, will differ for each type of reference.
A physical garment gives a clearer reference for:
Construction & panel structure
Measurements & proportions
Fit & silhouette
Sewing methods & seams
Fabric weight, stretch, handfeel
Trims & hardware
Printing, embroidery, labels
Indicate which features to keep and which to change. Exact fabric or trim matching still depends on sourcing and confirmed requirements.
Images can show silhouette, styling, colors, and visible details, but usually cannot confirm:
Exact measurements
Fabric composition or GSM
Stretch & handfeel
Internal construction
Fit requirements
Back, side, or hidden details
Exact trims & finishing
More information may be needed. Front, back, side, close-up, and detail images are more useful than one single image.
What we do in both cases
MinCharm reviews the available references, identifies missing specifications, and confirms the materials, measurements, construction, branding, and other requirements needed for sampling.
References give direction, not exact replicas
Reference materials provide a development direction, but they do not automatically guarantee an exact reproduction. The final result is established through confirmed specifications, available materials, sample review, and approved revisions.
