Yes. MinCharm can use a physical garment, reference images, or both as the starting point for garment sample development.
Developing from a physical garment
A physical reference garment helps us evaluate:
- Measurements and proportions
- Fit and silhouette
- Garment construction and panel structure
- Sewing methods and workmanship
- Fabric weight, stretch and hand feel
- Trims, hardware, printing, embroidery and labels
Before developing a new sample, MinCharm confirms which features should be retained or changed, together with the target measurements, fit, fabric, colors, branding, labels, trims and other production requirements.
Developing from reference images
Reference images can provide useful direction for the garment’s silhouette, styling, colors and visible details. However, images alone usually cannot confirm:
- Exact measurements
- Fabric composition or GSM
- Stretch and hand feel
- Internal construction
- Fit requirements
- Hidden garment details
- Exact trims and finishing
Front, back, side and close-up photographs can help make the development requirements clearer.
Important development limitation
A physical garment or image is treated as a development reference rather than a complete production specification. Exact matching may be affected by fabric and trim availability, the condition of the reference garment, manufacturing methods and missing technical information.
MinCharm confirms the available specifications and develops a new sample for review and approval before bulk production.
