A Christmas Print That Doesn’t Shout
Some holiday knits go straight for glitter and block letters. This one works quieter: a vintage-style Santa waving from his sleigh, two reindeer in festive wreaths, a lamppost glowing over a snowy village — printed center-chest on a relaxed crewneck. It reads like something found in a well-kept 90s drawer, which is precisely why it sells year after year. The ribbed collar, cuffs and hem keep the body honest; the artwork does the storytelling. For private-label and wholesale holiday programs, this is the piece buyers pick up, smile at, and don’t put back.
Built as a Program, Not a One-Off
The sample photos show the same artwork running on cream and grey heather bodies — because a seasonal style only pays off when your customers can pick their shade. The crewneck silhouette is deliberately simple: set-in sleeves, a straight relaxed body, quiet ribbing. Nothing competes with the print. And because the artwork is the product here, we treat its placement, palette and cure as spec items in your tech pack — not decisions left to the press operator on the day.

Four Things We Settle at the Sampling Table
A big chest print is a grading decision. Artwork sized to a medium can crowd an XL or float on an XS. We set the print box against your full size run and decide with you whether the graphic scales with the body or holds a fixed width. Both look fine on a hanger — they’re different programs, and the worn sample shows which one you’re actually buying.
Vintage color is an ink recipe, not a filter. Those muted reds and dusty blues collapse into neon if the ink build is wrong. We confirm the palette on a strike-off printed on your actual fabric, not a paper proof — because the same ink reads differently on a heather base than on a solid, and the paper never tells you that.
Heather bodies need their own ink plan. The grey flecks that make a heather knit interesting also show through light inks. So the grey-body version doesn’t simply run the same screens as the cream one — the ink film or underbase gets adjusted. That’s how the artwork stays consistent across colorways instead of washed out on one body and heavy on another.
The collar is where crewnecks give themselves away. This one is rib-knit with enough recovery to snap back after it stretches over a head — and the same logic runs through the cuffs and hem. On the sample we check collar width and rebound after stretch. A wilted collar kills the retro look faster than any print flaw.
Fabric Directions We’d Develop First
What the photos show: a smooth fleece-face knit with a soft hand and a relaxed body — a surface that carries a large-format print without show-through. Composition and weight aren’t fixed; this is a custom-fabric program. Directions we’d typically develop for a holiday crewneck: a 260–320 gsm fleece for structure on cold mornings, or a lighter 240–280 gsm sweat when the wear window is indoor and mild. Fiber content, GSM target and finishing are agreed in your tech pack, and bulk fabric is matched against the approved sample — not a photo.
Fit and Sizing
What the photos show: a relaxed, straight body with ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, and the graphic sitting center-chest. On a printed crewneck, chest width and print scale move together — we check the print box against your size chart so the scene stays proportional across the run. Your size range and grading follow your tech pack; send the size chart with the enquiry and the balance gets confirmed on the sample.

Questions Buyers Ask About This Holiday Crewneck
Can we print our own holiday artwork instead?
Yes — the Santa scene is a demo of what the body does, not a locked design. Send vector or high-res artwork and we confirm placement, scale and color breaks on a strike-off before any bulk screen is made. If your file needs cleanup for the vintage look, we flag it early rather than printing something fuzzy.
We want our own colorways for the season. Doable?
Yes. Body colors are developed per tech pack with lab dips for dyed lots, and the print palette gets adjusted per base — a graphic tuned for cream needs its ink plan checked on heather or darker grounds. Tell us the shade list and you’ll see each combination on the sample before bulk commits.
Can bulk land before the holiday selling season?
Honestly: sampling runs 7–10 days after requirements are confirmed, bulk 25–35 days after sample and order approval. Seasonal programs live or die on the calendar, so the earlier your artwork and fabric direction are locked, the safer your slot. We’ll give you real dates against your confirmed spec — not optimistic ones.
